Two of my favorites things: art + fashion. One of my ongoing projects consists of my comparisons and observations on art influencing fashion and vice versa. I love to find the connection. Can you see it?

Spring 2013 in NYC has been nothing short of stunning. After Sandy last fall and a long winter season I would like to forget, Spring is showing us how it's done and no one does it better than nature. If you haven't explored NYC in the springtime please make a point to add it to your travel bucket list. For more adventures in my city life, follow my photos here... xx

Everything old is new again. I loved the 90s when I lived it the first time and am very excited to experience the revival with the new generation as they take what they love and refreak it. Here is some graphic inspiration from my 90s Pinterest board...

I have recently been going through 25 years of images I've shot since I was 13 yrs old. The quality of older printed images has a rawness that really appeals to me right now.
Vacations, 1990-1998. by Kari Hansbarger
I love to curate and tell stories visually using images to create something that inspires or conveys a mood. This set are all vacation images I took on trips between 1990-98, using anything from a disposable camera to my Pentax K1000.
Loved opening my Juxtapoz email today to find this image staring back at me .

Ron Mueck is a sculptor of hyper-realistic, large-scale pieces that are absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of seeing his solo exhibit in 2006 at The Brooklyn Museum. The pieces were truly cool and rendered with such detail, and I was happy I had the chance to "experience" them in-person so I could take in their scale. Nothing like a 30ft baby or giant woman in bed... dreamlike in a way that makes you feel like you're crashing a fairytale starring giants.

He has a new show about to open in Paris that looks to debut some new work along side older pieces. if you're in Paris, check it out and be sure to let me know how it is! For more, check out Juxtapoz.
